Having “discovered” jazz at the tender age of 43, now struggling to become a jazz pianist, herein I document the jazz learning process for the amusement and possible edification of others. Because if you have to ask what jazz is, you'll never know, but, you have to start someplace. It might as well be here, and, better late than never.

What I'm listening to lately
I don't think Mr. Eastwood gets near the respect he deserves. I somehow even forgot I had this recording, but when I remembered, I listened to it repeatedly. It's just a rousing, amusing, easy to enjoy work of excellent jazz.

The only decent, initially free app I could find for learning Afrikaans, since Mrs. S and I are going to South Africa next month.

I coined the phrase "DEFG diet" months ago. It stands for "Don't Eat F$*#!ing Garbage" Diet. Date of this post is June 17, 2011.
